At Woden Swim Club, we aim to:

• Provide the highest possible standards of instruction, coaching, training and competition for every swimmer.
• Motivate young people to strive to achieve their full potential, both in swimming and in life generally.
• Encourage swimmers to participate in competitive swim meets.
• Instill in young people a sense of high self-esteem, the value of hard work, and the importance of good sportsmanship.
• Encourage and promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.
• Provide opportunities for social and emotional development in an environment that is tolerant of cultural and ethnic diversity.

At Woden Swim Club we welcome and cater for all standards of swimmers. There is no requirement of a swimmer to attend a minimum number training sessions.  The Club appreciates that a swimmer may be involved in other activities and have academic and/or other commitments.

We try to ensure, however, that our swimmers understand that success in championship competition can only be achieved through commitment to a regular training regime.  Current and innovative training techniques and practices are employed by our qualified coaches, who emphasize making training fun and enjoyable.

Woden employs qualified ASCTA coaches. We have:

• 2 “Silver License” coaches, one of whom has had experience with swimmers at the Olympic level, and
• 1 “Bronze License” coach.
