The Woden Valley “Sharks” Swim Club was established in Canberra on 21 June, 1971.  Since then we have grown to become one of the largest and most successful swim clubs in the Canberra region.  Our swimmers range in age from 6 to 18 years, and in ability from pre-competitive swimmers through to swimmers who have achieved national and international time standards.

Our swimmers are regularly successful in various Australian state and national events, and also at international events. Woden swimmers competed at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 and in the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.

We are an incorporated, non-profit organization, governed by club by-laws, managed by a parent run Committee, and  staffed by licensed swim coaches.  We rely on income from fees, merchandise sales and sponsorships to support our swimmers.  Adult members of the club organize and run the Club for the benefit and enjoyment of the swimmers.

We are currently seeking corporate sponsors from businesses that serve our community.

Monies from our Sponsors will go toward  Woden Swim Club  programs.

Woden Swim Club  provides an avenue for student athletes to develop skills and become an asset to their community and society. Please help this program continue to serve the demands of these student athletes.
